By requesting service, scheduling an appointment, approving an estimate, leaving a vehicle in our care, or using our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Scope of Services
Lopez Auto Repairs provides professional automotive services, including but not limited to:
Engine diagnostics and repair
Oil changes and fluid services
Brake inspections and replacement
Suspension and steering repairs
Tire repair and replacement
Battery, alternator, and starter services
Air conditioning and heating repair
Electrical diagnostics
Preventive maintenance services
General automotive inspections
All services are subject to technician evaluation, parts availability, and customer approval.
2. Repair Authorization
By leaving your vehicle with Lopez Auto Repair and approving an estimate verbally, by text, email, electronic signature, or in person, you authorize us to perform the agreed diagnostic and repair services.
No additional repairs outside the original estimate will be completed without your approval unless required for safety or legal compliance, in which case we will make reasonable efforts to contact you first.
3. Estimates and Additional Repairs
All estimates are based on the condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection and on visible or reported issues.
Because some mechanical problems are discovered only after disassembly or further diagnostics, the final cost may differ from the initial estimate.
If additional issues are found, we will contact you with:
An explanation of the issue
Recommended repairs
Updated pricing
Estimated completion time
Additional work will not proceed without your consent.
4. Pricing and Payment Terms
All charges for labor, parts, taxes, shop supplies, diagnostics, and additional fees will be clearly listed on the invoice.
Payment is due in full upon completion of service unless another arrangement has been agreed to in writing.
Accepted payment methods may include:
Cash
Credit or debit cards
Zelle / Cash App / mobile payment
Other approved methods
Lopez Auto Repair reserves the right to retain possession of the vehicle until full payment has been received.
5. Parts, Warranties, and Guarantees
Any warranty on labor or parts will be stated on the customer invoice or service agreement.
Warranty coverage applies only to the specific repair completed by Lopez Auto Repair.
Warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear
Misuse or negligence
Damage caused by accidents
Improper maintenance
Repairs or modifications performed by another shop
Unrelated future mechanical failures
Third-party manufacturer warranties on parts are subject to the manufacturer’s terms.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about the vehicle, including:
Make, model, and year
Known symptoms or issues
Warning lights
Recent repairs
Warranty coverage
Relevant accident history
Customers must remove all valuables and personal belongings before leaving the vehicle.
Lopez Auto Repair is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property left inside the vehicle.
7. Vehicle Storage and Pickup
Customers are expected to pick up their vehicle promptly once notified that service is complete.
Vehicles left beyond the pickup date may incur daily storage fees.
Any vehicle left unclaimed for an extended period may be considered abandoned and handled in accordance with Texas law, including mechanic’s lien rights and abandoned vehicle procedures.
8. Delays and Parts Availability
Repair completion times are estimates only.
Delays may occur due to:
Parts shortages
Supplier delays
Additional diagnostic findings
Weather conditions
Unexpected mechanical complications
Lopez Auto Repair is not liable for losses caused by repair delays beyond our reasonable control.
9. Test Drives and Vehicle Operation
Customers authorize Lopez Auto Repair technicians to operate the vehicle as reasonably necessary for:
Diagnostics
Road testing
Quality control checks
Verification of completed repairs
All vehicle use will be limited to what is necessary to complete service.
10. Limitation of Liability
Lopez Auto Repair shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use, towing costs, rental vehicle costs, lost wages, or business interruption resulting from vehicle failure, delayed repairs, or mechanical breakdowns.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific repair service provided.
11. Appointment Cancellation and No-Shows
Customers are encouraged to notify us as soon as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule.
Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may affect future booking priority.
12. Website and Online Booking Terms
By using our website, online contact forms, or booking tools, you agree to provide accurate information.
Submission of an online request does not guarantee a confirmed appointment until you receive confirmation from Lopez Auto Repair.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Updated versions will be posted with a revised effective date.
Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
